PM Hun Sen Arrives in Sihanoukville for Inauguration Ceremony of Two New Roads

SIHANOUKVILLE: Prime Minister Hun Sen arrived in Preah Sihanouk province on Wednesday afternoon, 21 December 2022, to preside over the official inauguration ceremony of two new provincial roads (Provincial Road 146B and 148), which is to be held on Thursday morning, 22 December.

Following his arrival in the coastal province on Wednesday, the Prime Minister posted on his official Facebook page, "In the morning, I had meetings and work in Phnom Penh. After lunch, I travelled on the expressway to take a dip in the Sihanoukville sea and prepare to preside over the inauguration of another road tomorrow."

The construction of Provincial Roads 146B and 148 began in April 2020 and was completed in August 2022 following a 28-month construction period. The two provincial roads were built by the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), inspected by the technical team of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and were built with a budget worth more than US $76 million.
